Meet the 2021 Ocean Leaders, the second cohort of exceptional ocean professionals selected through a global nomination process to take part in the Edinburgh Ocean Leaders programme.
Over the next year, the Ocean Leaders will take part in bespoke individual and group leadership coaching, monthly meetings between the leaders, EOL directors and the International Advisory Panel discussing topical themes, leadership and mentoring practices, participation in Edinburgh Ocean Conversations discussing ocean and leadership challenges with high-level speakers; as well as participation in high-level ocean events such as the Monaco Blue Initiative.
When international travel is again possible, the Ocean Leaders will come together for an international Field Mission to explore issues and strategies for problem-solving in diverse and complex international contexts.
Although coaching and mentoring activities are focussed on the first year as an Ocean Leader, following this period participation in the programme does not end, as the 2021 cohort joins a globally-distributed, and growing lifelong network of highly effective Ocean Leaders making positive change for the ocean.
