On 24th October, Kristina Gjerde, IUCN Senior High Seas Advisor and valued member of the Edinburgh Ocean Leaders International Advisory Panel, was honoured alongside Singapore’s Ambassador for International Law, Rena Lee with The Elisabeth Haub Award.
The Elisabeth Haub Award for Environmental Law and Diplomacy is the world’s most prestigious award in the field of environmental law recognising the innovation, skill, and accomplishments of lawyers, diplomats, international civil servants and other advocates who work to create the world environmental order.
Kristina and Rena received the award for their exceptional contributions to international environmental law and diplomacy, particularly in safeguarding biodiversity in the high seas.
