From March 31st to April 4th, we hosted our 4th Edinburgh Ocean Leaders Annual Meeting — a key event that brings our global network together in Edinburgh for a week of activities designed to connect, collaborate, and inspire

The week began with the newest cohort of Ocean Leaders arriving early to meet one another for the first time and take part in in-person leadership training. Later in the week, members of the wider EOL Community joined, creating a space for peer learning, collaboration, and strengthening ties across different cohorts.
We were also joined by Dr. Kathryn Sullivan — oceanographer, astronaut, and former NOAA Administrator — who hosted an in-person Edinburgh Ocean Conversations session, our quarterly conversation series with experienced leaders that is normally held online.
The Edinburgh meeting also includes our Annual Gala Dinner, held in the University of Edinburgh’s Playfair Library, where friends, and supporters came together to celebrate the year’s achievements and look to the year ahead.
As every year, it was a reminder of the strength of our community — and the importance of creating spaces for collaboration and exchange.
