Mustapha Manneh is an investigative journalist and researcher with a focus on environmental conservation and human rights. His work bridges the gaps between complex data and real-world challenges, combining on-the-ground investigations with storytelling to promote dialogue and positive change. He works both independently and as a consultant, leveraging his expertise to amplify voices, build networks, and address challenges in some of the world’s most pressing environments. Mustapha has worked with The Outlaw Ocean Project as a researcher and investigator and served as a Visiting Researcher at Lancaster University. He was part of a team recognised with the Sigma Delta Chi Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2021 for their story “Fish Farming Is Feeding the Globe. What’s the Cost for Locals?” published in The New Yorker. He has also been honoured with the Green Award from The Fatu Network (2022) and the National Human Rights Hero Award from Beakanyang Kafo (2020).
