Subaskar Sitsabeshan currently serves as the Outreach and Project Development Manager at the Commonwealth Secretariat, where he focuses on marine conservation projects within the Commonwealth Blue Charter programme. His role involves collaborating with various Commonwealth countries to develop sustainable ocean management practices. Prior to this role, Subaskar worked with The Climate Group, an international NGO working on the Under2 Coalition and managing the “Bijli Clean Energy for All” project in India. With an MSc from the University of Oxford and a BSc from Queen Mary, University of London, Subaskar combines his academic background in environmental science with practical experience in environmental policy and project management. Originally from Sri Lanka and now based in the UK, his work is focused on building relationships and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, from government officials to international organizations.
