Loreley Picourt is the Executive Director of the Ocean & Climate Platform (OCP). As a strong advocate for multilateral cooperation, she works at the science-policy interface for a better integration of the ocean-climate-biodiversity nexus into decision-making. At the UNFCCC, Loreley is the ‘Ocean and Coastal Zones’ focal point of the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action which intends to foster all civil society organisations to accelerate action and ambition towards achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement. She is also the Ocean Taskforce Lead for the Sharm el Sheikh Action Agenda and part of the Specialised Group of Ocean experts of the Nairobi Work Programme for adaptation. Loreley holds an MSc in Environmental Policy from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Environmental Economics from the University of York.
