As Philanthropy Manager for the School of GeoSciences, Sanne leads on developing relationships with funders and supporters of the Edinburgh Ocean Leaders Programme.
Sanne joined the School in 2013 and has since built an active programme of engagement with alumni and philanthropic supporters to areas such as climate change education, marine conservation research, fieldwork funding and scholarships.
In 2018, she coordinated a series of high-profile marine events at the University. These included the University’s hosting of the Monaco Blue Conference, in partnership with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, and the award of an Honorary Degree to Dr Sylvia Earle.
